Tartalmi felépítés

Esszenciája, fő kulcsgondolata a könyvnek a természetesség. Ezen oknál fogva a fejezetek végén található

illusztrációk alapegysége a levél, amely növényi ornamentikává szervesül a legtöbb esetben. Minden ábra

az adott fejezet tartalmát jeleníti meg, kivéve az előszó és a bibliográfia végén megjelenő virágmotívum

esetében, mivel erre a két fejezetre nem mondható el a narratív elbeszélés. A könyvben olvasni lehet füves

emberek tevékenységéről, a társadalomban betöltött szerepükről régen és ma.

Tartalmaz az egészségmegőrzésre irányuló hagyományos praktikákat; egészségmegőrző ételek

elkészítésének idejéről és módjáról szóló leírást; továbbá olvasható az élelmiszerkészítéshez használt

alapanyagok tárolásának és tartósításának a sajátosságairól.

Content structure

The book's quintessence, and key idea is naturality. Due to this the main element of the illustrations found

at the end of each chapter is the leaf, which in most cases expands into a plant ornamentation. Each illustration represents the given chapter, except the floral patterns found at the end of the preamble and bibliography, cause these two chapters are not narrations. The book contains information about the activity of healers, and their role in society nowadays, and in the past. It also contains traditional practices in connection with health preservation, descriptions about how to make healthy foods, and methods about the conservation, and storage of the necessary ingredients.

Iníciálék

Hogy a könyvnek vizuális rendszerében és tipográfiájában is találkozzon a modernitás és a tradíció;iníciálékat használtam a belívekben.

A fejezetválasztó oldalakon az adott fejezet sorszáma látható növényi ornamentikus díszítéssel, az alfejezetek és a fejezetkezdések esetében pedig kisebb méretben a bekezdések mellett állnak az iníciálék. Az ezekben a grafikákban futó indák, absztrahált növényi motívumok az energiaáramlást, a folytonosságot, a körforgást és a természetességet óhajtottak szimbolizálni.

Initial letters

In order to meet modernism with tradition in both the visual system and typography of the book, I used initials as chapter and subchapter openings. On the chapter separating pages the chapter numbers can be seen with plant ornamental decorations, and in case of the chapters and subchapters, smaller initial letters are found next to the text. The tendrils, and abstract plant decorations running in these graphics are meant to symbolize the energy flow, circulation, continuity and naturality.

Gyógyhatású növények A-tól Z-ig

A könyv vizuális rendszeréhez igazodva készült egy 15 tagú kártyasorozat. Minden kártyán egy-egy hazánkban termő gyógynövény található; egyik oldalán egy növényi illusztrációval, másik oldalán pedig egy hozzá tartozó felhasználási javaslattal, érdekességgel. Azért készültek, hogy ilyen módon népszerűsítsem a könyvben olvasható természetes eljárásokat.

Herbs from A to Z

Following the book's visual system, a card collection was made including 15 specific cards. Each card represents a different herb growing in Hungary. One side contains an illustration of the herb, while the other a description about recommended use and things of interest. The purpose of the collection is to popularize the natural methods and treatments featured by the book.
