Marina was born in Bulgaria in a town by the sea, grew up all over the
place and currently lives in the UK and is looking forward to
all the different places the wind will take her. She enjoys drawing and
painting various things – but mostly in the form of acrylic paintings and
digital illustrations or the odd object picked up from the street. She
gets her inspiration from the natural, unnatural and supernatural and
everything else that might be lying around. Every painting she creates is
an attempt to capture and convey a feeling, a thought or a daydream and
infuse them with a sense of the fantastical and a love for detail. Her
paintings have a deliberate naïve feel although that may not all be true
for the subject itself. She tries to continuously expand her visual
language through the wonderful process of self-exploration that painting
is.
