- War DiamondConceptual Design
It was asked to make two covers for a fictitious book about any object. The cover had to have the name of the object and it could only have three colors.
All the details have a reason to be, and those reasons are always something related to the object.War Diamond is a different way of saying Blood Diamond.One of the main concerns was to make something that could mean two things when the book was turned 180º, using refraction as a design element.
In the second cover, I've used the grid of the diamond itself to make new typography. The images are displaced also. Both images have a circle, representing the light and the darkness, the wealth and the poor.
It was also asked to make an intro for a future ebook It could be conceptual. 
- In the first cover, we can read War better because we associate the typography with the bottom of the tank, and that's right away associated with War. When we turn this cover at 180º we can associare the word Sex with the tank's cannon. Diamond can be read both ways and also have the exact same characters used on the right side in the left side. The image was displaced to reinforce the idea of looking through a Diamond or a Quartzo.
