    Generation Now is a youth leadership board in central Indiana that is affiliated with the United Way of Central Indiana and the Connected by 25 project that invests in successful futures for foster youth. They devote their time to practicing peer leadership, community involvement, and advocating to improve foster youth outcomes. Every member on the youth leadership board has experienced living in state care and can offer a firsthand perspective on what foster youth need when they leave state care at 18.  Better access to employment with a livable wage will make the transition from state care to independent adulthood more successful.
