Generation Now is a youth leadershipboard in central Indiana that is affiliated with the United Way of CentralIndiana and the Connected by 25 project that invests in successful futures forfoster youth. They devote their time to practicing peer leadership, community involvement, and advocating to improve fosteryouth outcomes. Every member on the youth leadership board has experienced living in state care andcan offer a firsthand perspective on what foster youth need when they leavestate care at 18. Better access to employment with alivable wage will make the transition from state care to independent adulthoodmore successful.
