Project idea was to pick a topic that we found unnatural and design a calendar to promote awareness. After doing research I stumbled upon the topic of GloFish. GloFish are fish that are genetically mutated to glow neon under black lights. The DNA is taken from luminescent organisms like jellyfish and inserted into the DNA of a zebrafish. The fish are purely for entertainment purposes and because of their color cannot survive in the wild. This is unnatural and therefore the topic of my calendar.
I decided to focus on the fact that these GloFish were mutated solely for entertainment purposes and were liken to objects.
