The materials that I used helped to inform the content of the piece by helping to show the relics of ancient Rome and Roman ruins in Turkey.  I used beer bottle caps to make the sculptures.  Repetition plays a role in my work because I used only beer bottle caps (with cardboard to help sustain them) to make my sculptures.  

The visual appearances of the works of art are historical.  The subject manner was historic in nature, but also something I take a great interest in.  I have a deep interest in looking at old ruins and pieces in time that have been left behind that mark a particular moment in time.  The pieces of art also use imagery to help the viewer to envision what columns and ruins would look like in regular form.
