The letterpressed Sustainable Soapboxes were designed to illustrate 100 ways to become more sustainable globally and locally. I chose to insert sustainable tips as seperate cards in soapboxes, not only for their metaphorical qualities for politics and cleanliness, but also to act as an element of surprise in an oridinary object to remind us to stay more conscious of our environment. With this project, I practiced green design by using post-consumer waste papers and eliminating the need to digitally print the boxes. Vintage wood type was scanned in and letterpressed in order to create a novel, unique quality for consumers.
