Stones Corner
The brief: research and create a visual identity for Stones Corner that will attract more people to the area. The design needs to have longevity so it won’t feel outdated over time and also encompass the different cultures, businesses, leisure and overall vibe of the area.

Outcome: to use craft to represent Stones Corner’s cultural background and remind people of its focus on fashion from small boutique stores to warehouse outlets.

Patterns were selcted that represented the different nationalities of people that reside in Stones Corner, North African, Middle Eastern, Islamic, Indian and Asian. These patterns were then used to make the typeface. To create more awareness for Stones Corner, a market day called “Sunday Bazaar” will take place on the first Sunday of every month, where people can sell or buy arts, crafts and pieces of fashion. A poster, flyers and calendars were created to remind the community of the event. The patterns were also applied to square bunting which would be hung on the front of stalls. The typeface was also used on signage.
