Spectrum
Spectrum was a collaborative piece for my Publication Design Class. The brief was to create a visual response to a certain color that we had been assigned. We were limited by several factors that included the page size, number of pages, the color of the toner, and the fact we were printing with a Risograph RA5900.
Working with under these parameters I had to create a visual response to the color black. For my response I chose to write an essay on the connection between early Norwegian Black Metal and it's influence on the genre of contemporary Christian Rock. The restrictions of the black toner on black paper leant itself nicely to the topic and overall made for an interesting resolution.
