Skipta is my first take on designing a text typeface. It was created in 2012 during a typedesign workshop held by Veronika Burian from TypeTogether. My initial thought was to create a slabbed typeface based on the clarendon style, but as the typeface emerged throughout the workshop it became lighter and tighter all over.
