Electronic componentry is always behind the scenes, hidden inside the product. But what if the internal electronics became the focus of the product, to create a new hybrid aesthetic between fashionable textiles and functional components?
Se+Guang became a physical manifestation of this idea as it explores the potential limits of what is considered an interactive wearable accessory. While the hairband responds to the light in the surrounding environment, it showcases the internal circuitry to reveal how such things as wires, resistors, and RGB LEDs can be just as beautiful and expressive as any kind of fabric or ornamental furnishing.
