The brief asked for a digital painting to go onto a poster for William Shakespeare's play "Richard III".

 

I decided to use the wax reconstruction of Richard III's face, where the scientists recreated his facial features based on his skull recently found at a dig site in a parking lot in England.

 

Painting done in Photoshop CS6 using a Wacom Intuos 5.
