Movements and subcultures in art are constantly being transformed and merged with other art forms creating a complex, constantly in flux network. The network created by relations between art forms can be considered as a rhizome as defined by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari in A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia. This museum attempts to represent this rhizome through a spatial matrix that is a result of the influences and connections between various contemporary art movements.
As one moves through the museum they view the work as well as trace its development. This progression can also be viewed from the exterior in areas of the facade in which glazing is oriented parallel to the facade, acting as a rotating gallery for those passing by and also as an attractor to bring new visitors into the museum.
