Portugal Creates
- Collective Online Exhibition
The goal was to create a poster representing Portugal how you know it, to be showcased in a blog -Portugal Creates.
"Portugal Creates is neutral place where people from many different portuguese backgrounds - universities, large corporates, enthusiasts and freelancers - can showcase their work."
My approach is to bring some of the traditional culture and artistic scene of the Portuguese culture and use it to self promotion.
On one hand because it is an essential background on me and in on a second hand because we have to promote ourselves or the country will never give you value.
I have used a dark background to create a similarity with the traditional costume of mourning, when you loose somebody, and a squared shape to illustrate a state of mind that doesn't think outside the box - the square - a people with gentle manners that are living in apathy with the currently political situation.
