You stand on a square in the middle of the city. You see countless amounts of people in every direction. All these persons occur in your reality for a minute or two, or maybe just for a few seconds or for the blink of an eye. Then they disappear again and others appear in your field of vision. All these people surrounding us in daily life have their own history, their own soul, their own little chronic in the ever flowing history of time. The project "one" is a reminder for the viewer. A reminder that every individual you see is just as complex as you are yourself. It gives back a little bit of soul to the individual in the crowd, that our brain likes to fade out for us.
"One" imitates the way in which the human eye observes: not viewing a crowd as a crowd, but observing little micro-scenes inside of it. All images have been taken in london.
