As the name suggests, Brooklyn Bridge connects Manhattan with Brooklyn.
John A. Roebling was stuck in New York traffic in 1853 – but it looked a little different than today. He was stuck on a ferry shipping through pieces of ice. He then had the idea of building a bridge.
