This is another 3D reconstruction of a extinct genus called Nautiloid. Nautiloids are members of a group of invertebrate animals called cephalopods ("head-foot"), relatives of the familiar octopuses and squid. Cephalopods originated in the Cambrian Period 570 to 500 million years ago and nautiloids originated in the Ordovician.
The figure based on a 3d scan made by “Idaho Virtualization Laboratory”. I’ve added a hood(head shield) to the model, detailed and textured it in ZBrush.
