     A response to the tales by Kurt Schwitters
  •  For part of my final degree project I chose to explore the Merz fairy tales written by Dada artist Kurt Schwitters.
    Widely known for his collages, Schwitters also wrote many extraordinary fairy tales which not only challenged the traditional genre but acted as a critique of government ethos in Weimer Germany.
    Using the Schwitters stories, my work is a response to the text and my personal interpretation. Using my love of the found object, they are included in many of my works
