a tribute to a time long past
"Memories" is undoubtedly about my personal memories and the nature of memories in general. The glass panels are moveable and can be rearranged in different combinations, creating "new" memories but also illustrating the complexity of a single moment that we picture in our head and how elusive they can be. These images represent specific memories that relate to the text but can also have dual meaning depending on where each panel is placed. This also has the nature of relating to the viewer and how any of these images or words can remind them of their own personal memories and meaning.
Just as memories are ephemeral, so is the handwriting on the glass. They aren't meant to be permanent and may disappear as time passes, just as time can make a memory forgotten.
