The basis for this matte painting was the idea of being “legendary.” I took inspiration in one of my favorite animes Fullmetal Alchemist. The person standing in the right, is based on the main character. I decided to envision an alchemy academy as its visual theme. I worked with a purple and pink palette in order to emphasize a very dreamy and mysterious look and feel.
