Louis I Kahn
Louis Isadore Kahn (1901-1974) was an American architect, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 1957 until his death, he was a professor of architecture
at the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Influenced by ancient ruins, Kahn created a style that was monumental and monolithic; his heavy buildings do not hide their weight, their materials, or the way they are assembled. He developped different theory about building, specialy « Monumentaliy and Lightness ».
During his all life he used to work  in collaboration with other architect such as
Ann Tyng or Harriet Pattinson.

He has a mysterious life, from his arrival in United States around 1907 to his death in Penn Station March, 17th 1974. He tragically died by an heart-attackin the Penn Station’s toillet. His adress was erased form his passeport, that’s why he stayed 3 days at the morgue, unknown.
