Fino & Saji
THE STORY
Once upon a time in a misty Norwegian forest, where lived Fino & Saji, a very old Gnome Couple. They spent their entire life of four hundred years without ever leaving the forest, with an exception of their honeymoon. Both of their kids were married and had moved away. Like all the other elders who have left this world, Fino & Saji have begun their journey to the mountain of death, never before seen by human eyes. They had a deep love for one another,and although they had a happy life, their hearts still lingered for the adventure they never had.
THE TECHNIQUE
I wanted it to look like paper cutouts but done digitally, so that I can play with depth of field and animation in after effects. I made the illustrations in Illustrator and the textured them in photoshop, I composited different scenes and brought them together with different kinds of transitions.
