We would like to see the everydayastory barbershop not only as hair salon in the classic way but first of all as a space on itself. A space with stories within stories. Grooming becomes merely a pretense admitting one access to the scenery; the ever vastly changing scenery matching that of the ‘outside’. Things change everyday function, meaning and identity. One day you can find yourself being a barber, businessmen, hipster, realist, priest, dreamer, stranger, villager, postpunk-pop-artist, celebrity, tramp, monk, newspapermen, lipstick girl, hooker, model, mother, workaholic, revolutionair, politic refugee or a lost poet. The next you may find yourself sporting the ‘uniform’ of your enemy. The same way we think that spaces are everlasting under the influence of change. One day a barbershop next day a swimming pool, tank station, squat, fashion boutique, political organization, meeting room, gallery or jailhouse. No matter what the case is, no matter how you get here we like to celebrate the story itself as an essential part of human existence. As Hannah Arendt pronounced it : ‘Storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it'.
