The concept for this is fashion editorial is fairly straight forward, but also a variant of my "Party Games" project.  Again in avoidance of the conventional fashion narrative (see "Unfashion") I thought it would be appropriate to shoot with these dresses in a way that mimicks a game of Dress-Up.  The dresses are not being worn for any type of real activity, but merely for sport and play, in a sort of "unreal" dollhouse space that exists only in gameplay.  This also inspired the hair, makeup, and accessory choices.  There are no elaborate victorian "up-dos," but rather a style more reminiscent of young girls that found their way into a trunk of old clothes.  Again, it's not really a traditional fashion narrative, and it does render pretty simply, but I think it fits best with the autobiographical narratives that I've spent the last year working on.
