For this brief, We were each assigned a Designer to research and were tasked to produce a visual image that would represent them whether it be an exhibition poster, logo etc. I was assigned Edward McKnight Kaufer, an avant garde graphic designer, who was famous for his poster design, especially with London Underground.
I looked at his work over his career and noticed on his paintings that he would sign them off using the signature "EMCKK". I decided to encorporate this into the logo, I stylised each letter based apon one of my faviourate posters that Kaufer designed.
