Colourless

Based on recent experience, I have discovered that there are things you can't just force into your life. One of them is love. Sometimes you just have to live your life and be the best person you can be, for your own happiness, and love will come by when the time is right. Inspired by these thoughts, I wanted to create an illustrated book and offer it for free to share a message of hope.
So, what is the short story about? It's about a sad little boy that goes out into the world in search of love, only to discover that….well…discover it yourself below my dear awesome reader.

Design Process
Creating Colourless was a very interesting experiment for me. I wanted each background to feel like a painting of sorts, contrasting a little with the very flat and colourless main character.
I created several interesting hybrid animals. I felt that it added a very nice and magical touch to the otherwise background-centered illustrations.
The text is not really the main driving force in this book. I wanted it to be minimal, but it is important because it takes the reader by the hand through my dear colourless friend's journey.
