I was lucky enough to attend Camp Firebelly in 2013. This is a 10 day intensive internship/workshop, where a team of 10 talented young designers are given a non-profit organization to work with. Our group was an organization called Project NIA. They advocate to get youth out of the prison system through simultaneous alternatives to incarceration.

Black Inside is a zine to accompany an exhibition at the African American Cultural Center hosted by Project NIA. The articles and imagery inside share the first person stories of black prisoners such as Angela Davis and Malcom X. My part in the process was to design the cover, table of contents and acknowledgement pages while making sure the guts of the zine all worked together visually throughout the process.
