In my second project for my Package Design I class at Academy of Art University, we were to re-design an existing chocolate brand of our choosing or design an entirely fictional chocolate brand. The deliverables were to include regular sized bars, mini bars, and boxes for three flavors. I chose a local Bay Area brand named Fearless Chocolate to re-design due to their inspiring mission statement and attempt at a fun design that simply fell short. My focus was to produce a design that reflected their message of empowerment and gave a truly organic feel without being cliche or boring. Also, I aimed to incorporate materials that could be re-used or kept as keepsakes by consumers, such as the wooden boxes and burlap satchels the chocolate bars come in.
