VIsUAL
EXPLORIMENTATIONS

Driving the way back in the car race competition would be totally uncanny and
unacceptable due to the rules. Walking backward outside the city would seem strange in other people’s eyes since no one is doing that generally. Forcing the process back to the original also sounds impossible to some, yet it somehow shows another virtual aspect. People are using their lives as the world’s rule, yet barely does anyone want to see the opposite side of the process. Vinegar Syndrome happens itself sometimes to the analog film strips if it is
not well-stored. In this experiment, making vinegar syndrome myself would express
the opposite side of the process as well
This Design Project is called "Contraction" due to the form of the object
contracted by chemicals and made to a fluid form.
The inspiration for this experimental design is "Vinegar Syndrome" meaning
a condition that results from the deterioration of cellulose acetate over the lifespan of a film
This experiment firstly came from my personal interest of analog film development and my curiosity about
the process of Vinegar Syndrome. They always say that the film should not be direct to the sunlight. The film is very fragile and you should not be harsh on it. However, some are still curious and try to be against the process
and see many different results. For this one, it is another experiment showing how the ruined film stripe will look
like and it will never be wrong to go backward in your own way.
