Tribuna is a student monthly newspaper produced by students, based in Ljubljana. It was first published in 1951. Shut down for almost ten years Tribuna came back in December 2009. What really sets it apart from the others is the amount of space and power given to visual content and the strong cooperation between editors working on visual and text. Tribuna wants to challenge the usual relationship between what is written and what is drawn and attempt to make an image out of the text and text out of the image. Our experiments and different approaches are always connected with the content and follow a different content-visual concept each month. Good results are always a consequence of teamwork between text and visual editors. Custom typeface Tribunal is designed by Aljaz Vindis. Tribuna has simple but strong modular grid system that offers various layouts for each issue but keeps it recognizable all along.

Format: A3 DIN standard
Technique: Offset full color 1/1 or 2/2

In November 2011, Tribuna was awarded the Brumen Award at the 5. Biannual of Slovene visual communication, among a selection of newspapers and magazines. In addition, it has also been given the highest recognition of the Biennial: the Grand Brumen Award.
