Miss Muffet's Ballroom, House and Gardens - Major Project
For my final university project, the brief was to select a book of your choice and design a set from any part in the book. I chose 'The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse' by Robert Rankin. The book is loosley based around traditional nursery rhymes but set in a much more adult universe, with drinking, partying and murder at the centre. There were a few sets that originally caught my interest but through sketchbook development I decided on Little Miss Muffet's. Some of my sketchbook development and world building is below.
The design was so detailed and took a huge amount of time to pinpoint and finalise. I chose to use AutoCAD to draw, as I thought it would be faster and better for multiple repeated details. There were multiple sheets of drawings I could of done, but with the time limit it had to kept to a minimum.
Making a final model in unusual circumstances was difficult as I'd planned to make it using laser cutters and 3D printing. I managed to have access to a plotter so that model was clean and on large sheets of paper. I created a top to the base which would all be CGI it's represented by a green line.
To complete the project I created four visuals using Affinity Photo and Sketch on the ipad to add detailing.
