Born in the north of France, Charly wanted to create an emblem for his family for the baptism of his nephew: a symbol that would keep track of their Italian roots. With the initials of his Italian grandparents names, I did several researches of monograms inspired by traditional writing styles (Cancellaresca, Rotunda) and typographic designs (Bodoni)... In the end, I drew an original monogram based on the ductus of the Rotunda. This family logo is intended to be engraved on a medal baptism or a signet ring, it could also be used as a stamp, on paper header, cards ...
Originaire du nord de la France, Charly souhaitait créer un emblème pour sa famille à l'occasion du baptême de son neveu : un symbole qui permettrait de garder la trace de leurs racines italiennes. À partir des initiales de ses grands-parents italiens, j'ai fait plusieurs recherches de monogrammes en m'inspirant de modèles d'écriture traditionnels (Cancellaresca, Rotunda) et de dessins typographiques (Bodoni)… Au final, j'ai dessiné un monogramme original sur le modèle de la Rotunda. Ce logotype familial se destine à être gravé sur une médaille de baptême ou une chevalière, il pourrait également être utilisé sous forme de tampon, papier-à-en-tête, cartes…
