Baby Driver Movie Poster
Mission: This design my goal was to create minimalist movie poster where it doesn't feel as cluttered, but I still want to hit those really important details that interpret to the viewer on what the movie is about based off of the design of the poster. With color my goal was to select a color palette that can be build around the red car to grab the viewers attention of the importance of the red car.

Challenges: My first challenge I ran into with the idea of the iPod being the attention of the design was trying to create a design that has a sense of movement since the movie Baby Driver is fast paced. I overcame this challenge by using the ear bud cord as this movement through out the piece to have the viewer's eye follow. This helped make this stagnant iPod object be used for a fast paced action movie.
Process
My initial idea was to have the iPod take up the whole poster, but I then saw this idea as a disaster. However, I didn't want to give up on the concept of the iPod being part of the core design. I wanted to push myself in what I believed to be core parts of the movie as the main design.
How does this poster represent the movie?
My main choice for the iPod being the focus of the design is to bring attention to music being a core value in the movie. Baby Driver has gained reputation for its methods of adapting music to be in synced with the movies fast paced action. I chose this iPod Classic(6th generation) specifically because its the first iPod of many shown in the movie. Music plays a crucial role in the theme of the movie is why I chose to do a vinyl record as the iPod's button. I designed the car to be similar to the 2006 Red Subaru WRX which is the main car representing the movie.

This was my final project for my college class, and I wanted to develop a movie poster for a movie that I was passionate about.
