Vans Pro Classic - "The Best, Now Better" (TYO)

This project’s aim was to develop a campaign that simply highlighted the difference between the Vans Pro Classics, a more durable and comfortable show designed for performance, and the original Classic silhouettes to an audience primarily made up of “core and committed” skaters. The key to obtaining an aesthetic that would attract said audience was to blend in design styles both nostalgic and modern, which is seen a lot in the Vans’ branding itself. The overall outcome came in the form of various GIF animations for each of the silhouettes in the series, with a digital ad spot to bring them all together, which all successfully capture the essence of skate culture in a simplistic manner, and show to the audience that the Vans Pro Classic is “the best, now better.”
