Rhinos of the Past
Bringing light to the serious issues of poaching and illegal entrapment of wild animals, this instalment illustrates the threatening of extinction rhinos are facing because of this.
Digitally manipulating my illustrations and printing onto acetate created a layered window into a viewpoint looking through images showing parts and fractured views of the rhinos as you walk past. The closer the layers are to the viewers, the less of the rhinos are visible - instead leaving what they are killed for visible.
Awarded a commendation for the 'Talent and Creativity' category in the Paolozzi Prize for Art in 2016.
