i've gone through plenty of rolls of film and now have a lot of negatives. in looking back, there are a lot of pretty boring pictures. but here i've brought them back to life by trying something new. these shots are all photos i took with a digital slr of film negatives. i gently taped the negatives to either my ikea frosted glass lamp or to my bright living room window then reversed my lens and shot away. after that i adjusted the white balance and inverted the colors to get the final product. for some i overlapped negatives to get a multiple exposure. this let me put new subjects into old photos. the original 35mm negatives were taken with a canon a-1 and ricoh 500g over the past few years. some are black and white film, some color, and some are black and white over color. the results...nothing that i could have originally gotten from any one camera.
