Layout and Typography

I designed a booklet design of the history of Garamond typeface. This layout and typography project assigned to me as a first semester college assignment.
The main idea for the layout was to emphasize the attractiveness of the typeface character. Bigger typeface character becomes the point of interest in each sections border.
I tried to give harmony for every design elements with negative space and simple colour palette. The use of black and white
photographs gives an elegant and classic look. Consistency in grid layout also plays an important role in giving harmony to the reader.
