In this co-creation project we experimented with felt. We tried to express our emotions through color and composition. Through these experiments we researched the value of felt. What can we express with this material and how can we enhance these emotions with the colours we use?
While AI and other technologies emerge, some crafts could be neglected. We tried to enrich crafts through design, to shine light on the skills, knowledge and traditions of the materials and processes. We want to keep this in mind and focus on these crafts by placing them in a contemporary perspective.
In this project we made two lamps. One, shines light on the fabric and has a focus on the emotion that the material brings about. The other reflects its emotions on the wall. This way the two balance each other out. We played with the contrast between them and tried to start a diologue with the material and the light. In order not to move any further from handwork with we connected it to our body.
