Prop Modeling and Texturing (Maya) Periode 8

Prop Modeling and Texturing
Maya
The assignment
To make a good 3D model you often need references. Making a 3D model is a time-consuming job and must go right at a game company in one go, otherwise you will waste a lot of time. References provide the solution to that problem. First, a concept is made of the required 3D model so that there is a good example for the 3D artist to model after.
When creating concept art, always think of the fact that someone else must be able to model it.
During this period we will make props. Props are objects that fill a game world and make it lively. Sometimes interactive and sometimes only intended as a decoration of a space. In the 3D game art lessons of Maya you will make the 3D model based on references.

Process of texturing
First I played down the main colours to see if my texture worked and see if everything was in its place. Then I made the drawings on the model. And lastly I aded highlights and shadows to my texture, I made it more look like a plastic toy and I added some details like screws etc.
