Francesca Imbesi's profile

One portrait, six albums

For this project I created six album covers for six very different music genre, all starting from this picture by César Rincón on Unsplash.
A single photo interpreted under six different lights through photo editing, illustration and typography, with a limited amount of space.
The first album I created was a classical music album, with a simple serif font and a thin continuous line that reminded me of the sound of a violin.
An alternative-rock album with writings and feelings flowing like smoke.
I chose a disturbed and uneasy mood for the grunge album, something that reminded me of rebellion.
Just as jazz bloomed from poor environments, I gave the artist a cheap and original paper tux. The title gives an idea of something scribbled and improvised.
Nothing feels as easy and light-hearted like simple shapes on a pop album.
Shocking colors, cyberpunk-like atmosphere and impossible pictures for this vaporwave album.
