THE NAKED KING BAR-BISTRO

The brief required a brand identity for a pub / restaurant located in the upmarket area (King Street, next to brands such as Gucci, Luis Vuitton, Channel and Tiffani & Co. ) of Perth CBD. Additionally this branding should target a demographic consisting of young adults that visits the CBD area, and white collars from the area.

The name of the pub is “The Naked King” as it aims to create a sense of classiness through the image of King Street and also aims to portray a European Folklore story of a Naked King and through this invoke a sense of relaxation and a conformable tone of voice that allows a young audience to informal and also formal socialisations. The interior that has a focus on metallic, wooden and overall dark tones also helps to create a conformable yet sophisticated space for classy, relaxed socialisations. The logo is composed with circular element that unifies the other elements within. And the central composition of the logo is reflected throughout other applications.
The brief required to have four sets of menus for each season. To help to convey the Naked King idea I decided to recreate a textile pattern inspired from European 17th-18th century (natural motifs with curved elements).
