Pride & Parasite
A collaborative project on the concept of how our emotions consume us. The symbols that surround the subject represent 7 deadly sins. Pride being the root of all other.

Puppets made of
flesh and bones,
all they do is run,
in this race of
who consumes more
and gives less.
Little do they know,
they're moving in a spiral,
inwards, with each turn.
Fueled by desires and
accelerated by dreams,
they're trying to swim
in quicksand.
Money, fame and love are either
just words or a mirage,
Ignorance is indeed a bliss
and stupidity a boon
for nobody ever checks the seeds
we feed us in the form of pills,
and then they grow into us,
grow out of us and we
keep watering the
carnivorous Nepenthes,
not everything that blooms
is beautiful.
Sanity is knowing there are
escape doors available.
But insanity is not knowing
when to stop.
Insanity is coloring green,
all the red signboards of danger.
Insanity is seeing
the last door of escape,
and walking right past it.
Thinking, there'll be more of them.
But it's this video game-ish thing,
that only after you've missed
the last chance of escape
and walked a few miles ahead,
you'll realize
you're walking down
a one-way street.
Not being able to go back,
you move forward and forward
in search of
the obscure origin
of the spiral.
Insanity is putting
your blood signature
on "terms & condition"
without reading the last line
that says
getting sucked into
nothingness is and will be
your
final
destination.
