‘The Way We Read Today’.
Researched, Written and Designed by myself.
This brief involved researching how people read in the 21st century as well as researching various methods of publication from manuscripts to e-books. The choice of content was open but the finished publication had to be an editorial piece either printed, on-screen or a combination of both.

I wanted the book to work on two levels, at one level for the person who doesn’t bother engaging with the narrative, it is a collection of fun and colourful spreads from the internet. However for the person who actually reads the full text the meaning of these seemingly random internet spreads interjected through the narrative becomes apparent. These internet spreads, by distracting from the main narrative further emphasise the way in which people read today. The main narrative itself is kept to relatively short paragraphs that can be quickly read and taken in.
