This is my 3rd personal project of digital shoes. And 1st one which I shown in augmented reality video.
Actually, I have to say that it's not real time AR, it's pre-recorded video with added CGI.
But as for me, result looks quite interesting. And future possibilities are great.
Let's go back to the beginning.
Autumn 2019.
I was very inspired by Eliud Kipchoge marathon record. And especially by his very special
Nike shoes. So I started to draw my conceptual sneakers with gap in midsole.
Then I made 3D model and some static renders.
It's also good about 3D - that you can look at the object from different sides.
Thanks "SketchFab" app for sharing this experience with everyone!
In SketchFab app you can also use AR mode. But I was not satisfied with quality of AR video which I made in this app, and I tried to make video wit my 3D model in Blender.
After succeed with video on a floor, I continued experimenting.
And I put my 3D shoe on hand.
After succes with hand tracking, I started to do the same with feet.
And it was big challenge because I had to deal with 2 independed objects.
Also some part of the shoe is hidden behind the foot, so it needs 2 more moving objects which are the legs.

Now I think we are ready for digital footwear future!
