Bacardi. Spirit of revolution.

Spirit of revolution campaign is a series of unconventional typographic posters that do not have any particular shape, size or format. Each poster was designed in order to look like the wall has been “attacked” by a street
artist. The whole idea of modern revolution was developed from the history of the brand - it was founded in times of Cuban war of Independence and the riots against slavery. What is more, the drink represents revolution by
itself, as it revolutionised the whole distillery process of rum. Street art aesthetics fit perfectly into the whole concept, as it is aimed on the young, mostly mostly male audience, who are brave, creative, ready to declare about themselves and are capable of breaking some rules for a good reason (as Bacardi once did).
Every line was carefully thought through so it gives more attention to the history of the brand and the product itself. The lines grab your attention from big distance with a short catchy phrase and become more entertaining
and meaningful when you take a closer look.
The posters’ background was designed to look like the wall has been attacked by a flypostering artist. Because of the fact that the background consists of only two repetitive flyers it can easily go beyond the boundaries of a usual poster format.
The flyers are also created by incorporating Cuban floral patterns in order to give more authencity to this artwork.
Another very imporatant thing is that these lo-res flyposted and spraypainted on top of it posters look very natural in pub emvironment and do not scare off, annoy, or stand out (in a bad way) as a usual glossy poster would do.
