The Beatles album "The Beatles"
I created an animated album cover for one of The Beatles’ albums, and it is also named the Beatles. I focused on one song from the album to use it as the main inspiration. Blackbird is a song Sir Paul McCartney wrote in 1968 as a response to the civil rights movements in the USA. He used blackbird as a symbol singing; "blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arrive". Therefore, I illustrated a blackbird standing on the Beatles’ neon sign and flies as the train moves. Since the Beatles are an iconic band I included them in the cover and showcase some of their characteristics. Sir Paul McCartney in the right side of the cover is the only one staring at the blackbird in the dark night since he is the writer of the song.
