Each year, for the focus of the campaign, they choose specific legislation or a legislative emphasis that can make a real difference to people struggling with hunger and poverty. This campaign will support the neighbors, whether they live in the next house, the next state, or the next continent. The ad campaign is the latest initiative in a long collaboration between the federal government and Bread for the World, which each year supplies food to more than 37 million Americans through a network of some 200 local food banks. Those food banks, in turn, distribute food to 61,000 food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. The possibilities and plan that the federal government has the resources, power, and influence to change these conditions so that we can end hunger in our time is also discussed within the paper.
