The aim of this project was to use Adobe Photoshop to recreate modern NBA posters using 'masking' & editing techniques. I'm a huge basketball fan, so I decided to select some of the top players/former players in the league. I wanted to create artwork that would suit newer audiences but keep it fun and fresh.

The design process consisted of finding high quality action shots of players that were visually appealing. The game of basketball is complex, but all shots have a basic consistency to them.

I used extensive masking techniques in Photoshop to create the background and effects around the players. I made a specific pattern of spotted brushes and used them to recreate the paint splatters featured in these images.
