The story of Meraki Design

Here I will tell you a story, the story of my project Meraki Design.

Before traveling to Barcelona from Romania for the first time, I knew that the country is known for its architecture, art, flamenco, paella, bulls and sangria.
I have contacted two of these celebrities, the paella, Paellito, and the flamenco, represented by Flamenquita, to see if they would like to hang out with me, since I did not know anyone in Barcelona.
They came to wait for me at the airport when I arrived. Among other stories, they told me that, in a way, they are also immigrants, like me, and that, if I want, they could introduce me to some of their friends, who they had met over the years living in Barcelona.
And so I got to discover the castellers.
The correfoc, the giants and many others. And I had nothing left but to fall in love with my new friends.
I was amazed with all the culture I discovered and I felt sad that not so many people know about it. Also Flamenquita and Paellito were sad because they were quite alone in the gift shops. Well, then, it came out the desire to share my new friends with many more people.
This is when Meraki Design was born. Meraki is an untranslatable word from modern Greek that is used to describe something done with creativity and love, something done with the soul.
And here there are some examples of the traditions and their illustration.
