There are all these people that you meet everyday. And after a while they become a little part of your life.
I've started this project a summer when I was between jobs. I moved to Barcelona from Romania and since I’ve been here, I am interacting with a lot of new people. I was living then in the Born neighbourhood, where I felt like I was living in a small village. Everyone knows everyone, everybody says “hi" and smiles. The salesgirl from the supermarket, the guy that has a shoes shop around the corner... And this always helps brightening up the day. So, I decided to illustrate each person that I meet every day. A big part of them is from Born, completing it with beautiful people from other parts of the world who inspired and touched my own existence.
Each illustration is coming with a little text that I made about it person, but I have to recognise this was the most difficult part, as I don't think about me as a big writer. Below some of the illustration I will post also examples of text.

Basically this project it is about the smiles in my life. :)
To start, here it is my auto portrait.
Paola brought her beautiful smile from Paraguay in Barcelona 10 years ago. She started doing customised clothes and 3 years ago was born the shop with Mochitti brand. Apart the beautiful stuff that she is doing, you can find there coloured vintage clothes and new ones as well. When in the neighbourhood you have to enter in her coloured paradise and discover all the treasures. Her presence there it is a plus! And if you are near next weekend, take a look! There is also a market that takes place every month!
Sometimes, beautiful things have to come to an end, in order for new and more amazing things to replace them.
The Mitte Gallery was founded by Alexandra (with a strong background in arts) & Daniel (architect) who are from Argentina, but living for decades in Barcelona. In its 4 years of existence, Mitte became a place of reference for creativity, art and culture lovers. It was the meeting point that got artists and designers together, thus a source for innovation and beauty. Unfortunately, they are telling us "hasta luego"; a moment to rest and recharge for a spectacular comeback which we'll be waiting for with thirst for the awesomeness Mitte always delivered. Estela created together with her boyfriend the beautiful designish shop OMG BCN. She is from Barcelona, and visiting her shop you will find a lot of amazing products made in Barcelona and the smile of Estela that is always happy to help. Don't miss it in Placa de la Llana 7!
Marco and Giada, both from Italy, are living figures representing the best work place ever (apart from Charlie's Chocolate Factory, that is) - a Gelateria, because ice cream shop is too generalistic. If you're ever in the Ayuntamiento area, the smell wil definetly guide you to Gelaati! di Marco, where you will find these lovely people always pleased to spread their joy and tempt you with the best italian ice cream in Barcelona! You're welcome!
The project brought me the collaboration with Guzzo Bar from Barcelona, illustrating their clients and their moments there.
